Information system for online well site construction monitoring

The OWCM Information System is targeted at production, technical and engineering departments of drilling and geophysical companies. It is designed for round-the-clock remote monitoring of the well construction workflows.

The system interface is browser-based, thus its functionality is available from both working site and any place an expert can have access to, with account of the requirements for the corporate data safety. This enables hot link communication between a qualified supervising expert and drill rig staff in case of emergency situations occurring.

The data sources for the OWCM Information System on a well can be advanced mud logging stations from various manufacturers, or drilling parameters monitoring stations, in particular, data acquisition via WITS level 0 data transmission protocol, directional drilling guidance stations, and geophysical data acquisition systems during drilling (pipe-conveyed logging).

The OWCM Information System provides the System Administrator with the following facilities:

• System access control and differentiation
• Monitoring of system component parts
• User alerting where required (for example, sending out information on system server maintenance, or on a drilling rig starting/stopping transmitting data)
• Monitor site load and users activity information (monitoring whether a user works with the system in his/her scheduled time)
